Michaela and Michael’s wedding day was nothing short of magical. Having had the privilege of photographing them many times over the years—from Michaela’s sister’s wedding to their surprise proposal and a few family photo sessions in between—I knew this day would be special. These two are the kind of couple that make my job so easy. They’re all smiles, all laughs, and just a joy to be around.
This time, the setting was Lavallette, NJ, where both Michaela and Michael got ready in a cozy beach house. Michaela was understandably a little nervous before their first look, but the moment she saw her groom on the beach, all her nerves melted away, and her radiant smile returned. Michael, on the other hand, couldn’t hold back his emotions, shedding a few happy tears when he saw his bride for the first time. Michaela looked absolutely stunning in her glittering wedding gown, literally leaving a trail of sparkle wherever she walked.
Despite the freezing cold and wind, we made time for some breathtaking photos on the beach. Michaela and Michael braved the weather with big smiles and shared laughter, their love and joy keeping the moment warm. After wrapping up the beach session, we headed to the Crystal Point Yacht Club in Point Pleasant, NJ, where the festivities really kicked off.
The ceremony was intimate and heartfelt, a perfect reflection of the love these two share. The reception, on the other hand, was an absolute party! Friends and family filled the room with energy and excitement, dancing the night away and celebrating Michaela and Michael’s love.
