After what seemed like months of rain here in New Jersey, the skys finally cleared just in time for the wedding of Shenda and Travis. Shenda and her lovely bridesmaids started the day Salon Premiere in Pennsauken, NJ. Sharonda Tate and Joanne Rufano, from the salon, did an amazing job getting the girls picture perfect. The girls arrived at Shenda’s parents house around noon, where we got her ready for the big day. 
Shenda’s dress was from the Disney collection at Alfred Angelo. She carefully picked the Princess Tiana dress from the Princess and the Frog movie. Shenda also wore her grandmothers garter and carried her hankie from 1946. The small purse was too fragile, but we made sure to document its beauty digitally. The bracelet Shenda wore was borrowed from her Aunt, who also played the roll of her wedding planner.
Since Shenda and Travis wanted to wait till the ceremony to see each other for the first time that day, we spent some time taking photos of both the bridesmaids (including Shenda’s Man of Honor) and the groomsmen in the gardens of Clarks Landing Yacht Club. Since the last time I photographed an event at this location, the grounds have been changed to accommodate a larger outdoor ceremony. Everything was perfect and the rain held off even though the dark clouds were approaching from across the Deleware towards the end.
I had such a great time getting to know the kids at this wedding. These two above insisted on a photo together. Just adorable. After the delicious food at cocktail hour, Shenda and Travis were ready to party! A few special dances, including one with Shenda and her son Brandon, started the reception and then they danced the night away to the music of DJ Nitro and Astro. As always, a wedding reception seems to fly by. I hope that the happy couple can look back on these photos and remember the joy they had for each other on this very speical day.
