Rafe and Jill met during the annual Katsucon convention held at the Gaylord National Harbor Resort and Convention Center. I myself had to look up what exactly Katsucon entailed: Katsucon is an annual 3-day fan convention held in the DC metro area … dedicated to bringing information about Japanese animation, society, and traditional and popular culture to fans everywhere. More information about Katsucon can be found here. They were not dressed in costume, but did show how much they loved each other through deep conversation during the shoot. They really know how to talk to one another in an intelligent, loving way. I had a great afternoon exploring the area and even was able to do a little shopping before hand 🙂
